The rooms are small but do what is needed and have always been clean. This is a proper traditional country pub and we need more of them!”

“We wish we had known about this place earlier, it is great. Lovely characterful ensuite bedrooms , charming, helpful hosts and superb breakfasts . Location is great for walking into the city and the nearby Black Horse pub is handy for meals. Easy parking too. Why did we go to generic chains when we could have stayed somewhere this special? ”

“We stayed for an event at UEA and the location was perfect for this. Setting was beautiful in a small village with a river running through -great for an evening stroll. Our bedroom was very very close to the road which becomes a commuter cut through in the mornings. This did lead to some unwelcome traffic noise from around 530am. ”
