“Great location for a place to stay in Shrewsbury. Abbey Foregte is close enough to the town centre for walking in, but quiet enough for staying. Parking was plentiful at the weekend. Room had everything you needed - plenty of tea & coffee, as well as corkscrew and wine glasses 😉. Would recommend staying here.”

“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. “Smallish room as expected but we'll appointed, clean and in great location. Took us roughly 15 mins wall through a park, over bridge and alongside river into town. We were lucky to have the limited on site parking space. Room was quiet, bed low but comfy. Nice stay. Have only given 3 stars for staff as we actually did not need to meet any. So, not applicable.”

“Clean and great location, good value for money.”

“The room we had was super charming and had everything we could possibly need. I got the best night’s sleep of my entire trip while we were there. I would most definitely stay there again if I were in the area again.”

“A bit noisy but great location otherwise”

“Excellent stay. Trevor met us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The hut was super cosy and amazingly clean. We had everything we needed for an offthe beaten track stay. Trevor even booked a table at a local pub and arranged a bottle of fizz for us at my request for my other halfs birthday. The surroundings and views were beautiful and there were great walks in the area too. We felt very secluded and private.”

“De accommodatie is rustig maar toch vlakbij het centrale gedeelte van Knighton. De kamer is van alles voorzien dat je mogelijks nodig hebt en het ontbijt is zelfbediening in de keuken van de host. De host is heel vriendelijk”

“The location of the house is great for the pubs, restaurants and shops. The house is charming and the communication with the host was excellent. Would recommend a stay to get away from it all.”

“Perfect! Central location in the midst of the wonderful array of shops, cafes and restaurants in Ludlow as well as the historic church and castle a short stroll away!”

“The property was immaculate throughout and the hosts were lovely. Perfect for a family or small group of friends. ”
