“Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last.”

“A quaint old fashioned inn. Amenities a bit dated but all functioning. Bath with jets was a plus. Loved the provision of bottled water and little biscuits. Breakfast was a lovely continental affair. Only downside was the winding staircases that made taking luggage up and down difficult.”

“Lovely helpful staff, comfortable, clean room (superior room) and the continental / cooked breakfast was good. I stayed overnight on a Friday arriving at 7pm and the available parking in the hotel carpark and local area was extremely limited so I would recommend arriving early. Do not rely on being able to connect to the hotel free WiFi. I could not connect at all and was told by a staff member that it was most likely due to the bar / restaurant areas being busy. I am on O2 and could not get...

The property was absolutely spotless, room was lovely and the food was incredible (would recommend the lamb shank - delicious!) “The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.”

“Lovely old pub off the main road. Staff are helpful, they serve a good pint and the breakfast was first rate. Negative points - the mattress on the king-size bed is too soft and no brewed coffee in the morning. I would stay there again.”
