Very good location and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and overall, the stay was very good. Parking access is really tight, but I appreciate that being so close to the town centre makes parking a bonus.

Really excellent hotel, the room was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, best Shakshuka ever, whilst listening to The Stone Roses, bliss. The staff are super helpful and very friendly. The bar area is lovely and serve delicious drinks. Brilliant hotel, will return.

We loved the look and the atmosphere of the hotel and the easy access to surrounding amenities - Shrewsbury is a lovely and charming place. Because it is basically an expanded Georgian town house, there are many stairs and the rooms are on the small side (the stairs were a bit of a trial - we are both in our 70s) and the car parking was tight and often full - there is a car park almost across the road, but it had recently changed hands and we could not use it because the pay station had "No Internet". We used another council car park a little walk away which was easy to use and relatively cheap. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the bar was good. Lovely, helpful staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lion and Pheasant with excellent staff, cleanliness of room was very good and the food was fantastic. We were able to get into the car park during our stay but it is only a small one and it is not always easy to turn around. However, there is a large car park opposite the hotel where you can leave your car for 24 hours for £10.

The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away. The hotel is close to the river and we would also recommend visiting the prison! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Despite a lack of dedicated parking, the Parking is plentiful with an NCP directly opposite. Room and public areas are immaculate. The staff were very welcoming and the cooked breakfast was excellent, less so the continental choice.

Lovely inn. Located in a convenient place near English Bridge. Breakfast was delicious. The bar and wine bar were very convenient. We stayed during a heatwave. The rooms were quite warm. There are many steps to get to the rooms.

Great hotel in a nice area. Car park is a little tight and first come first serve but the ncp car park is literally opposite this hotel. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, we also had dinner in the restaurant which was amazing. My only complaint was the people above our studio room where thundering around which was noisy but I’m not 100% sure if that belonged to the hotel as we had to exit the hotel and go round the corner to get to our room (studio 45)
