“What a gem! Met up there for an overnight stay with friends. Great location and ideally situated for walking. Our rooms were in the main building. They were spacious and well-equipped with tea/coffee making, proper milk and snacks. The beds were also very comfy and the en suite had a great shower. We ate there for lunch and dinner- good menu and excellent, tasty options, with great selection of gins and wine. “I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here overall, but the experience was bookended by two entirely different worlds. Check-in on the afternoon of 18 August was an absolute breeze—the receptionist who assisted me was a proper professional, welcoming and efficient, setting a cracking first impression. Unfortunately, check-out on the morning of 19 August (around 10:00 a.m.) was an absolute shambles that completely derailed an otherwise brilliant stay, courtesy of the two older reception staff....
