“I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into. The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend.”

“Property had reasonable price. However guest at least expecting property to be clean. There was too many spider everywhere in the property. Clear haven’t clean it properly I had to spent an hour to clean which something you do not expect in your holiday. Location was perfect. Easy parking , Just 7 min drive from Windermere. There is local shop around so easy to get stuff.”

“A fabulous find, a short distance from family, perfect for the grandchildren, when the arrived they said it was magical when the saw the marina, they loved walking our dogs down the canal towpath and the crazy golf across the road at the farm park, plenty of places to visit around the area and a lovely place to relax in, a lovely pub with great food next door, there’s a few issues with teal house but nothing that would put us off , we will definitely be back in the near future ”

“This was an excellent place to stay, with historic ironworks in front, whitewater in behind, and a real steam-engine train passing by that looked like something out of a story book. There are two flights of 17 steps each, for a total of 34 steps to get to the flat, and then 14 more inside the cottage to get to the bedroom. The unit was immaculate when we arrived, and well-stocked with essentials, except we could not find bedding for the pull-out bed in the main living area. The grounds were...

“Lovely quiet location on the edge of Cartmel with good road connections to the tourist areas of the Lakes. The place was spotless and well equipped but they really do only include bedding, towels and loo roll. Whatever else you need make sure you take it with you. It lacked hanging space for clothes in the bedroom and any place to put your cases. We were surprised it was a semi detached building, we could hear a lot of noise, especially doors closing in the attached unit. I would still recommend...
