“Amazing place to stay. First time staying in a B&B having favoured hotel stays in the past and what a nice change in made. From the warm and friendly welcome and throughout the 3 day stay everything met or exceeded our expectations. The room (Burley) at the top of the house was amazing with a roll top bath in the room, the most comfortable of bed and just the ambiance of the house made the experience even better. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were super friendly too.”

“Charming guest house with friendly staff. Great location.”

“Gran atencion, maravilloso desayuno y agradables y comodas habitacones.”

“Great location if you’re coming and going by train. Ask for a room “not” facing the street - mine did and even with ear plugs the traffic noise was quite loud. That said, location, staff and breakfast (included) were great.”

“Very nice hotel..recommended”

“Wir hatten eine tolle Auszeit im the Hideaway. Die Inhaber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück jeden Tag aufs Neue sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Zimmer sind sauber und die Betten bequem. Auf Sonderwünsche wird eingegangen 😊 wir können die Unterkunft wirklich jederzeit empfehlen!”

“No nos recibieron inventaron que Estaban cerrados y era pura mentira investigamos y no era cierto solo no reciben latinos”

“Very clean room & beautiful building but quite tired and dated in parts. The bar is ridiculously expensive, £36 for 2 gin & tonics is morally wrong! Also the £25 per night parking charge is ridiculous considering the price you pay to stay in the hotel this should just be included. We parked in railrigg car park and paid £19 for 3 days instead. I think there should be food available at all times, even just cold sandwiches as an option for when you arrive back from the pub etc as there is no...

“We came here after our trek from Scafell Pike and it was exactly what we needed to relax which was a lovely hot tub. Lauren was very helpful and welcomed us in. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.”

“Our room was spacious and it was quiet after dinner hours. The hosts were exceptionally generous and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful room. Great place to stay in the Lake District!”
