“Great location for walking or just sitting in the garden or around the log fire. Staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast was cooked to perfection, we will be retuning for a 5th visit.”

“Beautiful location to explore the New Forest.
Staff are exceptional.
Food was very good and well presented, I had the salmon, with broad bean and pea fricassee, asparagus and potatoes for dinner, I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
Room was a little dated but perfect for what I needed (room 6), it was very relaxing having a bath with the window open looking out at the trees and sky.”

“Lovely pub/restaurant with rooms in a picturesque small village. We had a great dinner and the service throughout our stay was fantastic (thank you Matthew). I wasn’t aware this was part of a chain at the time of booking but I shall be looking out for Butcombe Pubs in future.”
