An exceptionally maintained historic building, quirky in an amazing way, Reception staff extremely helpful and knew the history of the building well, great food would recommend a stay here to anyone
The setting was beautiful on River Avon. Staff was always available and friendly. Rooms were lovely, comfortable and clean. Onsite restaurant was delicious.
Lovely room and en-suite. Very old so inevitable creaky floorboards above us but otherwise quiet. Very nice staff and breakfast. Ample parking, not sure about cost as had a deal. Easy walk to city centre and plenty of shops
One of the best hotels I have had the privilege to stay in❤️
From the checking in with Amanda to the room itself, absolutely beautiful .
A pitty the weather didn’t play ball, location amazing , view amazing , city a short stroll away.

Clean & tidy room , great breakfast , friendly staff , highly recommend would definitely stay again
Very helpful staff and excellent breakfast.
Parking was extra (£5- day)
The room (deluxe ) was a little tired and the bath chipped. In a very old building it would have been nice to have had a small refrigerator to cool the water provided as it was very hot and, as usual, in the UK not air conditioned.
The outside seating area was wonderful and cool in the evening.
The breakfast was great

Pleasant stay, lovely by the river site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended
Kitchen had just closed when I arrived in the evening (midweek) but remaining catering staff offered me soup and sandwiches.
Always a most enjoyable stay.
Hotel clean and tidy.Location perfect for exploring Salisbury, staff very friendly, breakfast very good and restaurant food reasonably priced, fresh and tasty. Hotel looking a bit tired and in need of some love and attention regarding decor, some carpets, etc. Lovely to sit outside on the river bank with a drink in hand or if the weather not favourable in the restaurant looking out
Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Don't be put off by it's roadside position. The rooms are located at the rear of the hotel, with stunning views overlooking the river and Abbey. Our room had french doors out on to the riverside. Super friendly and courteous staff. Look forward to staying again
+ Good location right next to the river and a 10 minute walk into the centre. Nice spacious rooms and a good buffet breakfast.
