“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. “Staff were great! Room was a terrific size and the bathroom was stellar. Parking was free. There was no breakfast, but the pub downstairs had games and entertainment. It was summer and quite hot so the windows had to be open resulting in a few spiders making their way in, but that would be expected honestly. I would absolutely stay here again!”

“Delightful inn with clean, comfortable en-suite bedrooms, lovely bar / restaurant with cask ales and delicious meals, all supported by friendly, helpful staff.”

“Excellent stay at the Hopping Hare. Food is really really good and the room was large and comfortable.”

“Primarily chosen as it was near to an event we were attending at the Nene Valley Railway (a short drive from the pub). We liked that the accommodation was in a separate building to the pub (although the pub was not loud). Good breakfast, evening meals, and friendly staff. We have a lovely walk around the village one evening, went back following day to try the local tea rooms but they closed early which was a shame. Will definitely stay here again”

“Very friendly with good home cooked food and excellent beers.”

“Me han tratado de maravilla, especialmente Yolanda que aunque llegue muy tarde me hizo el favor de prepararme algo para cenar. Hotel boito, comodo, limpio y un trato inmejorable.”
