“Upon Arrival we were given a friendly greeting by The Barman and also a local gentleman who was seated at the bar. The barman checked us in & provided us with the room key 🗝️. Gave us Breakfast Details Times etc. We stayed for 3 Nights Upon arrival the room was beautiful prepared for our arrival. We stayed in Room 2 Triple Room for three people. The room was nicely laid out and a great size accommodation for 3 people. The next morning our room was beautiful cleaned Towels restocked....

“Hotel is in good location. Close to rail station and verious bus stop, restaurants etc. I arrived early and my room was ready so that was great 👍 and I was really happy about it. The problem is that building is closed during the day and no one around to help if something goes wrong. When I arrived to the hotel on my second night I find out that my bathroom light is not working. Manager has sent 2 staff members but they couldn't help so I didn't have light there at all. Room was very clean...

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“Very easy to find with a large car park at the back. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of drinks was great with it having its own distillery. The food was beautiful and freshly prepared. The room was just as you would expect and the bed was so comfortable! The set up overall was perfect. Would go back next time we’re there. There are also busses that run outside so no need to use your car.”

“Stayed with my son overnight on our trip to climb Helwellyn. Did the climb prior to checking in, as check in was from 3pm. Asked in advance if we could use the car park upon our arrival in the morning & it was no problem. Once we checked in, the room was good with a modern ensuite, ironing board, hair-dryer and coffee facilities. All the staff were friendly with a nicely stocked bar and it was fine to book a table for our evening meal. The menu had a good choice of meat and vegetarian options....

“A lovely welcome on arrival, room was very pleasant. Only downside was I would have preferred the breakfast buffet laid out on a table rather than the bar.”

“スタッフの皆さんはとても感じがよく楽しく過ごせました。ベットシーツが汚れていて、はじめは気が付かなかったのですが、変えてないのかな。。という感じ。別の部屋に泊まった人もいたのですが部屋は広くて暗いか狭いかでした。トイレの窓が完全に閉まらず、夜の間に虫が大量に入ってしまいました。。。食事も美味しかったので設備だけが残念でした。”
