“The owners greeted me on arrival at this lovely guesthouse and showed me to my room. The bed was very comfortable. It is an old building so quirky room sizes but beautifully renovated and maintained. Good shower clean bathroom. Great home cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay again”

Great place to walk outside with an added extra of ducks and chickens on the grounds. very good food portions and a nice cooked breakfast (bacon could do with a bit longer under the grill in my opinion but that's personal choice) the room was clean but would have benefit of having a fan in the room. “Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...

“Breakfast over cooked scrambled eggs not good. The grill menu was off because the grill caught fire. Four days no grill menu. Too many dogs allowed barking arendous. Kid's running around unattended. Needs some supervision .”
