“It’s an historic place but time shows it’s wearing propensities. This gives considerable advantages but shows the need for updating some elements.
However the staff were great,food very good and cleanliness excellent. It lead to an enjoyable experience.”

“A wonderful welcome in the middle of the Peak District. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, impeccably clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend and book again.”

“Our stay was very average for such a grand hotel. The room felt like we were stopping in the servants quarters rather than a nice hotel. It was small and basic but clean and we got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good. Parking here can be difficult if you turn up in the evening and there is a charge. Great location for all that Buxton has to offer and very convenient for the many restaurants and bars.”

“Nice clean room. Large, had 2 single and double beds. Room was off the courtyard, so easy to access and minimal noise carried over from the pub. Pleasant service. Note that need to use key card to turn on power in the room. Would stay again.”
