“Some beautiful furnishings throughout. Some areas a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. Staff were all excellent. Breakfast was good but felt dinner prices a bit excessive for what was served. We had a beautiful newly refurbished bathroom ( bedroom not ) so here’s hoping improvements are going on throughout the hotel. We would recommend and we will return.”

“When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook . The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him. “Lovely B&B in a beautiful village known for bookstores. Nicole and Malcolm were so kind and welcoming, we truly enjoyed our weekend there! They went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable, gave us lots of local info, and we enjoyed great conversations with them.”

“Stayed here on a visit to Wigtown in late August 2026. Communication was great with multiple emails confirming reservation and instructions. Although there are no staff of duty the instructions on how to get the key were timely and detailed and we had no problems at all getting in and checking out, and we arrived late. The bunkhouse is clean, smelled fresh, and the rooms were nice. We stayed in rooms 1 & 3 and it was lovely. Also very quite! The bathrooms were modern, very clean, and well...
