The hotel sits in beautiful grounds and has plenty of parking, including several EV chargers which was very convenient. The rooms appear very dated but very clean and spacious. Sound definitely travels throughout and we could easily hear our neighbours. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed a tasty roomservice meal, although it felt overpriced.

Beautiful old hotel. Very dog friendly. Views are amazing. Bedroom was very large and clean but needs bit of refurbishing. Found bedroom doors were a bit noisy when closing. As the weather was excellent we enjoyed sitting in our balcony relaxing and enjoying the view. Good walks. Great pool and hot tub. Had our breakfast in the conservatory as we could take our dog in with us. Breakfast was a good buffet selection. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Fully enjoyed our stay and will return.

Old elegant hotel. Yes a bit worn in places but spotlessly clean. Food fantastic. Views and grounds are spectacular. Very dog friendly. Rooms spacious and warm Pool good. No spa. Golf right on your doorstep. Staff helpful. Annie at reception especially so. Lovely walks and close to beaches and cute towns. Lacked atmosphere in the dining room and bar areas. All in all great value for money and a restful few days. Planning to return.

Breakfast super and dinner on Saturday night very enjoyable. Staff were excellent and made the stay even better. The bar, and the outside seating area very comfortable and we enjoyed our drinks in the sunshine. Golf course, although we didn’t play looked in extremely good condition. A great break away. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good sized rooms. However there was broken glass on the balcony, the bunkbeds for the children wobbled ridiculous everytime one of them moved and then in the morning my son found someone else’s socks under his pillow so clearly they hadn’t changed the beds from the last guests. I cannot believe a hotel can do that. It’s a real shame as the feel of the hotel was nice and it is in a beautiful location.

Lovely warm welcome, beautiful building. Good facilities like a pool to keep my kids entertained. Had a drink on the night from the bar and relaxed in a beautiful room watching baby deer on the golf course. Woke up from a good night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast in the hotel dining hall. We all loved it and will definitely be back on our next travels through Scotland.

Room were clean, but the best times of this place already have passed. Service didn’t exist much. We arrived late and a document and keys were at the reception. We informed before that we arrive around 11 pm. Nobody was available at reception to welcome us and show our rooms. We spend about 1/2 hour to figure out were our rooms were, exploring the entire ground floor area and first floor. I am very mindful with peoples time and would expect a premium experience at a premium hotel. The golf courts are in great shape and probably the Place is a great hotel, we just arrived on the wrong day.

Having stayed at the Cally Palace Hotel and few times I've always had a pleasant overall experience. The hotel sits in a beautiful countryside location, ideal for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The rooms were comfortable and clean and everything was functional. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made a positive difference. One of the highlights was the food—both dinner and breakfast were enjoyable, with a variety of options aswell as having a relaxed and welcoming feeling. Overall, the Cally Palace Hotel is a great choice if you’re looking for a peaceful stay in a scenic setting. Very relaxed stay. We enjoyed the walks around the hotel and the leisure facilities were first class with a lovely pool. The room was huge and spotlessly clean overlooking the pitch and putt course.
