We were supposed to have transportation from the airport to the hotel and we couldn’t get a hold of anyone so we had to Uber to the hotel which cost me $170 USD Expedia couldn’t help the day before or once I arrived there they were able to transport us back to the airport no towels at the hotel. The elite experience was poor.

The wait staff as employees were all so kind! It took me three days of trying to finally get set up with the customer service person to set up for my son’s birthday to decorate, then they never did, so that was a bummer. However the evening of his birthday for dinner we made a reservation and they brought him a cake and sang happy birthday! The housekeeping gals were amazing! The toilet was awful at flushing and nothing they could do about it. The food was great every time! This is my second time coming back to the RIU hotels in punta Cana

Overall its a beautiful property. I would highly recommend staying in the Coral Level if you can, its so much better! Unfortunately during the time we were there (end of July), the sargassum (seaweed) was really bad. The reaort crew is continuously cleaning the beach but the beach was pretty unusable the first couple of days. The food was much better in the Coral Level, if you stay there make sure to eat the breakfast ans lunch buffets there, the food is much better. A lot of their restaurants were closed during our stay, we got reservations at the Italian place. The food and atmosphere were really bad! Our favorite place to eat was the El Faro. The spa is amazing, you must try it! Overall a very enjoyable stay, with excellent service, we look forward to going back.
