They gave a room other than what was booked The pools were not cleaned and well maintained. Lacking food options. Room Service did not deliver even though they advertised 24hr service.

The rooms can definitely do with an upgrade. They were somewhat outdated for 2026 hotel rooms.

Overall its a beautiful property. I would highly recommend staying in the Coral Level if you can, its so much better! Unfortunately during the time we were there (end of July), the sargassum (seaweed) was really bad. The reaort crew is continuously cleaning the beach but the beach was pretty unusable the first couple of days. The food was much better in the Coral Level, if you stay there make sure to eat the breakfast ans lunch buffets there, the food is much better. A lot of their restaurants were closed during our stay, we got reservations at the Italian place. The food and atmosphere were really bad! Our favorite place to eat was the El Faro. The spa is amazing, you must try it! Overall a very enjoyable stay, with excellent service, we look forward to going back.
