“The hotel was well-maintained and clean throughout and we really enjoyed the location on the beach and the facilities such as the pool and hot tubs. The staff, however, ranged from indifferent to rude. We ordered a drink from the pool area, on their prompting, and they never came back with it. We were scheduled to check-in at 4 and ended up getting in late and only after repeated prompting (and I saw this with subsequent visitors on other days so it wasn't just a one-off).
