“Loved the old 17th century beams in the rooms and the uneven floors. Property was very quiet - even with the Football World Cup semi-final on while we were there. Staff were all incredibly helpful and loved the breakfast. 100% recommend and would love to take my dog next time as they are very dog friendly (they get a sausage at breakfast!).”

“It is a lovely unique building of great history . Unfortunately on a Thursday night they had various things not available on the menu including the Cheeseboard and no Merlot wine and no port left. The staff were not very friendly . They did their job is about it. Where we had breakfast was a fly paper which had been there maybe years with dead flies stuck to it . The general cleanliness was not great I stress this is a stone floored 16 c property and general cleanliness in the pub...

The interior design is gorgeous, and the entire place was impeccably clean—we had zero complaints about our room or the service. ​The only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit too pricey for what it was.
