“This is a hotel in a small community on the costal estuary. Not a 5 star Marriott, but you wouldn’t want one in this quaint town.”

“Hotel is in good location. Close to rail station and verious bus stop, restaurants etc. I arrived early and my room was ready so that was great 👍 and I was really happy about it. The problem is that building is closed during the day and no one around to help if something goes wrong. When I arrived to the hotel on my second night I find out that my bathroom light is not working. Manager has sent 2 staff members but they couldn't help so I didn't have light there at all. Room was very clean...

“We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10”

“Our room was two flights up and had a good view. The shower and hairdryer were poor on power and effectiveness but we did have a lovely bath after a long walk. The bed was a little uncomfortable and a bit stale smelling but roomy and light. Breakfast was 8:30-9:30 which was late for walkers trying to get an early start, but they do take away lunches. A mixed bag overall but we paid £136 for a double room and expected more for the price.”

“The view was awesome...the rooms were spacious and clean and staff were very cooperative, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the garden area, the spa and the swimming pool...Really enjoyed staying there”

“Bedroom and bathroom clean and tidy well apportioned steps to bed room not good for disabled person or any one with mobility problems main stairs ok. bar and lounge well laid out. Breakfast room an orangery to rear lovely all furniture English oak including stairs in bed rooms in-bar area etc food excellent”

“Magnífico pequeño hotel con habitaciones reformadas y con mucho encanto. Muy práctico para hacer senderismo desde el propio hotel. La cocina, tanto para los desayunos como las cenas, es buenísima. El personal muy atento, agradable y profesional.”
