Mill Neck Vacations

Fabulous hotel close to everything in Midtown/Times Square , well run hotel. Excellent staff, always v helpful esp Damian the chef who made my daughter her own breakfast because she has an allergy and doesn’t feel safe eating from a buffet. He was so helpful every morning. We really appreciate him! Thank u Damian!

If you prioritise location, this is a great spot. Easy to walk to much of Manhattan from here. It is very much a place to lay your head and not much else. The staff are mixed, some are very helpful and welcoming but others are extremely nonchalant. I'm not a particularly needy guest, but asking where I could get water at 6:30am when the hotel had no amenities at that time, was given the biggest eyeroll. I was told I could fill up from a fountain in the basement....alas no cups available. The main foyer is extremely dark, like the opposite of Vegas, it's always night time here. Rooms are decent size but style over comfort, with furniture and decor all a bit tired now.

Good

I was super thankful for the early check in at 1230. However upon arrival we found several short black hairs behind the door in the bathroom. It took 3 separate calls to get it cleaned up (they cleaned it at the end of day two). Manager was supposed to reach out but never did. 46th floor restaurant is only open for breakfast. This was a bummer because part of why we booked this hotel is because we hoped to catch the sunset up there. Also the hotel is just run down. Best up baseboards, discoloration on the marble. Also a bummer they don’t have someone open the door for you. You’d think you’d get a doorman for a hotel of this caliber. Location is amazing if you want to be by Central Park.
