Vacations Close To Marina Del Rey

My earlier review of the Krystal Grand Resort was posted after I’d only been there a few hours. I’ve since taken in the full experience and have much to share. The Italian restaurant, Risotto, has mostly flash-frozen food service offerings of middling quality. The “catch of the day” was akin to sardines in tomato sauce from a tin, and the ossobuco was a rubbery imitation of real food. The second evening found us at the hibachi. It’s hard to mess up fried rice; note to self-just add way too much salt. But the guy trying to look artful with the cooking utensil juggling act looked more like he had too much caffeine just minutes before. The wine selection throughput the resort, while included in the total, was a few off-label bottles we would normally set aside for cooking rather than drinking. The grounds were in poor condition. Brown and bare patches next to unmowed areas, untrimmed shrubs, fallen and broken boundary posts and path lights, and a collection of loose tiles picked up from the pool floor and deposited on the rocks. There was black ick growing between tiles, and the surface of the pool was covered with dead bugs. The balcony of our Jr suite had no furnishing, and the iron rail was flaking rust. In the room, the water damaged ceiling sagged over the shower, visibly painted over several times. On day three, out of sun lotion I went to the gift shop. $27 for 8oz. Why do businesses try to maul their guests?

Where to begin. So disappointed with this stay. We booked for a whole week with my family/children. Since the day we arrived there was NO AC working. To summit up Our entire stay was a hassle, being moved room after room total of 6 just me and my husband and small children and my adult children moved also room total room. Maintenance man would go check air with a thermometer insisting it was cooling but it was not .Unbearable so humid and strong smell of mold in the rooms. And pools nasty murky with algae and dirt floating around early mornings. That’s an ear/pink eye infestation waiting to happen..And on top of that food was horrible and frozen and reception area Never ever ever picks up phone. Ugh Will not be staying here again. PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE. This was supposed to be relaxing calm stress free week.

Very nice hotel will definitely be back

This was a great stay!

The only thing I didn’t like my package was all inclusive but there were no coffee shop you had to go to other hotel Sunset location and no activity looks like hotel was for retirement place and you can’t swim in the ocean because of the waves. Otherwise it was good.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. Everything is amazing. Really a great stay. We will be back for sire
