great resort for partying and having fun. However, the food was terrible. Steak house was decent but that was about it.

We had an incredibly good experience! It was even better than we had hoped. It was one of the best family-friendly experiences we’ve ever had at a resort. The food was top-notch, and if you can, upgrading to the finest club membership is definitely worth it for the experience. It really elevates your stay. You won’t regret it. Yes, it’s a bit extra, but you deserve the best. The property was always clean, and the private beach felt very private. The fenders didn’t bother us at all. My one and a half-year-old son slept at the beach next to my wife almost every day. We loved our stay, and we might be back in the future with family.

Riu Palace Punta Cana has some real strengths, but unfortunately, the overall experience was not one I would repeat. The staff were lovely throughout our stay, the restaurants were good, and our room and the interior hallways were consistently clean. The resort also has beautiful views and, at first glance, an attractive property. My biggest disappointment was the cleanliness and upkeep of the outdoor areas. The beach did not appear to be regularly groomed or mechanically raked, leaving the sand looking flat and poorly maintained. More concerning was the resort’s smoking policy. Smoking is permitted throughout much of the property, with ashtrays seemingly everywhere. Cigarette butts were scattered in the grass around the resort, including areas near the pool. For me, this significantly detracted from the tropical atmosphere and created a persistent sense of both air and ground pollution. The pool environment was also disappointing. During our stay, one pool had to be closed after a guest vomited in it. On other occasions, we saw lime wedges and even what appeared to be false eyelashes floating in the pool water. There also seemed to be a culture of excessive drinking among some guests. At one point, a manager had to intervene in a verbal altercation between two guests after one reportedly threw a flip-flop at the other. There are certainly positive aspects to Riu Palace Punta Cana, particularly the staff, food, and views. However, the smoking, litter, outdoor cleanliness,
