“Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. “The bedroom & en suite were very tastefully decorated, with the decor exactly to our taste! The Bella Rose coffee shop was used throughout our stay & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. The 15% discount was used each time we ate there which was a bonus as thought it might be a one-off. Peasholm Park on the doorstep was a huge plus too! My only criticism of our stay was that I made the owners aware that I was allergic to fur & feathers beforehand & I particularly queried any cushions...
