Brilliant place to stay, breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious with freshly cooked homemade sourdough. Car park space and places to eat all within easy walking distance. Would thoroughly recommend Cawthorne house with Pascal and Sarah
I would highly recommend this B&B. Friendly host amazing breakfast. Best sourdough ever tasted. Five minute walk into the centre of Pickering. Beautiful house great sized rooms. Would definitely stay again
The already Excellent reviews are well deserved! Ideal for our stay in Pickering being close to the town centre and pubs/restaurants. The parking felt secure and convenient. Our room was well presented with breakfast having quality ingredients and cooked professionally.
Our stay at Cawthorne was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were also excellent and it was lovely to be fussed over by Pascal who went out of his way to make sure that everything was to our taste. Pascal is a very accomplished cook and an experienced hotelier - it showed! Thank you for a great stay in your lovely home.
Breakfast was great and Pascal is very friendly . Lovely house but unfortunately we felt it could have been presented so much better, just sweeping front step adding some plants to the empty pots would have made it more inviting but overall we felt it needed a good clean.
We loved our stay at Cawthorne House. Pascal was a wonderfully warm host. The room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bed. The breakfasts were delicious and included Pascal’s homemade sourdough bread. We’d highly recommend Cawthorne House.
We had a lovely weekend, our room was very clean and comfortable.Pascal was very friendly and informative. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked with Pascal's homemade sourdough bread. We would definitely stay again,
Fabulous place run by a fabulous family. Breakfast was amazing as was Pasqual's sour dough bread. Is very clean and comfortable with lovely extras like a welcome drink with homemade canapè plus home made cookies in the room. Its a very convenient location with good eateries within walking distance. The hospitality from Pasqual and his family was exceptional. Will definitely stay again.

Obviously anywhere that makes their own sour dough bread, is the place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Pascale. Lovely welcome, great room, quiet and plenty of space. Good shower. Breakfast - apart from the Kelloggs offering- yuk…_is freshly made and a good selection. The location of Cawthorne House is brilliant, easy to walk into the centre. Nice walk to Thornton-le-Dale. Also has a car park round the back, so handy.
Very Good location, owner Pascal, helpful and pleasant. Breakfasts very good. Plenty of places of interest close by, including steam railway. All in All, a very good place to stay.
Pascal greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome from the first point of contact. The drink, canapé and cookies were much appreciated after a long journey. Breakfast was fantastic and prepared beautifully using quality ingredients and the room was very comfortable. Several dining options are within walking distance to suit all budgets and the car park behind the property is very convenient . Pascal was full of local knowledge and tips and we would certainly stay here again if in the area .
Pascal was a very attentive host with plenty of local knowledge and delicious breakfast and lovely home made sourdough bread each day we had a lovely week and were sad to leave thanks again pascal
Kind regards Ian.
Pascal was a fabulous host who made us feel utterly at home. Breakfasts were excellent and Cawthorne House is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Pickering which was perfect for exploring the town and for our evening meals. We will certainly stay again.

Hidden gem B&B
A wonderful hidden gem B&B. Lovely welcome from Pascal and his personalised breakfasts with his famous sourdough bread are delicious. It’s the special little things that make you feel special, hime made cookies in the room, canapés and bubbles on arrival. Bottled water in the room as well as plenty of beverages and toiletries. Great location for the coast of the lovely market towns and return after a long day to a comfortable bed.
Pascal is an amazing host and his home is gorgeous .
Breakfast was outstanding ! Pascals homemade Sourdough bread is not to be missed 🌟
A perfect place to stay in Pickering and we will return .
Terrific place to stay and explore North Yorkshire. Host Pascal really helpful and baked a great sourdough loaf along with a super breakfast. Lots of nice touches with canape and glass of fizz on arrival. Would recommend highly!

We just had 2 nights but it was lovely Pascal was a great host from the minute we arrived with a glass of sparkling wine and canapes was a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing freshly cooked to order. The room was spacious clean and comfortable would definitely stay again when in the area.
Well located and very comfortable accommodation with private parking. Conveniently situated for York city, North Yorks Moors Railway and the coast. Friendly informal atmosphere. Delicious Gourmet breakfast cooked to personal requirements by a skilled and attentive host. Highly recommended and hope to visit again soon.
Amazing B&B that would put most 4/5 star hotels to shame. Lovely service from Pascal from start to finish. Amazing breakfast, lovely room with absolutely no bad points at all from this 2 day stay. Pascal is a world of knowledge about where to eat, my go to place in north yorkshire. We look forward tto staying there again.
