“I had a quick check in and was given a great room which was quiet. The staff were great and really made an effort to look after us over Christmas ”

“I booked and paid for 3 nights this week. Before arriving, I called the landline at about 11:45 no answer. On arrival just before the 3 pm check-in time the place was shut, doors locked and curtains drawn. Called the mobile number several times and messaged the mobile to inform the person I was waiting to check in. “Big car parking area, Sunday roasts good. Easy check in and private entrance for guests.”

“Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...

“No acepten upgrades ni elijan la habitación 4 del interior del castillo,tampoco les recomendaría que se alojarán ,ya que mi experiencia en el no resultó positiva,luego me contestarán con algúna respuesta tipo,pero les aseguro que hay muchos castillos en Inglaterra mejores que este.”

“Don’t bring a cat - there’s no room to swing it in the bedroom. And the TV was comically small. That being said, it was clean and tidy and the food excellent. Staff also very friendly.”
