“Decent for the price, breakfast selection hardly a buffet, only option being individual pots of what makes up an English breakfast. Rooms spacious yet walls very thin and the light from under the door is noticeable, staff were somewhat attentive .”

“We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10”

“Great base for walking in Langdale, you go straight out of the back door and up to Stickle Tarn. Excellent breakfast with good choices, a good selection for the evening meal and the Old DG hotel 15 minutes walk away if you fancy a change. Nice lounge for the wet days. 100% recommend”
