“Beautiful building and property. Spacious rooms with decent wifi, fridge, fan and comfortable chairs and bed. Good restaurant in the building too. Enjoyed the critters in the yard: cats, peacocks, Guinea hens, chickens, geese, and scrunchy faced pigs. Would have loved to have stayed longer. ”

“A wonderful pet friendly hotel in the heart of Grasmere. It was decorated beautifully, and the room we had was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of cooked options and a buffet style breakfast too (not to mention the dog got a sausage every morning!). Our only feedback would be that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, though it was only three nights. It would’ve been good to have the mugs and water jug refreshed, however I’m sure if we’d asked this would’ve...

“We loved it here. The grounds had everything for us especially the walks and the play sites for our daughter. Staff were really friendly and we will be back. Even our dog loved it. ”

“Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.”

“Gorgeous Hotel centrally located in the village of Hawkshead, room had all the facilities, key pad entry so no keys to carry Bottles of water by the bedside and even my favourite Costa Coffee pods for the coffee maker Beautiful restaurant/cafe downstairs. Breakfast was included in my stay and was one of the best I’ve had Staff were very helpful and very nice Really can’t fault it and would definitely stay again ”
