“The rooms were very clean. The bed was very hard so if you like a soft bed this won’t do. The breakfast on both mornings were very poor burnt toast served with over cooked bacon. On the first morning hash browns left off the order. Ordered poached eggs on toast given one egg on a piece of toast nothing along side it to dress the plate very sad looking. “The Waterwheel Inn was exceptional. We had a garden suite which opened straight out onto the amazing gardens and a small double room. Both were decorated nicely and kept clean. Breakfast was served in the lovely conservatory and was excellent with good choices and nice touches like home-made jams and granola. “The property suited our needs being ideally situated, and providing comfortable accommodation. The pub had a good atmosphere with reasonably priced food., and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, during our stay housekeeping was haphazard. We had to ask for clean towels and the bed wad only ever made up once during a seven night stay. “This pub was a great stop for us following a day of walking the SWCP. Very peaceful even though it is a pub. It is approximately 1 mile from Perranunthnoe, and SWCP. Bus 2 runs from right outside so ideal for connections to Penzance and Porthleven. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.”
