Faja da Ovelha Vacations

Firstly the staff were so helpful and friendly we really enjoyed our stay . The hotel is beautiful and located in a very useful location however it is tired and in need of some tlc and paint here and there. Unfortunately there were a couple of residents who were constantly drinking and smoking near the front door which was very annoying and spoiled our stay. They lived we think on the top floor and on our last Saturday night played very loud music till early in the morning. So selfish and inconsiderate. The staff did apologise and were clearly embarrassed and we wouldn’t want anyone to think they were to blame for the anti social behaviour of those two residents .

1905 Zino’s Palace is an historical gem on Madeira Portugal. The food was so outstanding and delicious that we ate all three dinners there. Plus we had a lunch when we arrived that was convenient and yummy. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection of goodies plus eggs to order. The employees, each and every one of them was helpful, talkative and enjoyable. To stay there and know your money is being put into a historical building is worth every penny. You feel like you have gone back in time to enjoy a place that is so special. If nothing else, you could sit and enjoy the view all day and all night long. Oh, I forgot, a lovely pool to sit by and watch the view also. You won’t be disappointed by staying here.

Clean, spacious, close to stores and restaurants.

The rooms were clean . The vie and location were excellent .

The bathroom could do with a glass panel - curtain is outdated! The hairdryer was poor and didn’t work well. Pillows were poor quality . Could do with a kettle in the room with some tea gags and coffee

Hotel covers the basics but it’s too expensive vs what’s being offered
