I loved everything was a great stay

Usually I stay at a different resort brand, but I decided to give the Majestic Mirage a try since it was a 5-star resort. This has been a very poor experience -- def subpar compared to every other 5-star resort I have ever stayed at. (1) They are short staffed, so wildly unresponsive. (2) They did not have their check-in system in place, so when I got to the hotel, it took them 3 hours for my bag to make it to my room. Since my swimsuit was in my bag, I basically lost a day by the pool. (3) The mini-fridge in the room was broken when i got here, (4) Several other less than ideal service problems, including asking for my room to be cleaned while away (they say that is a service on demand) -- I requested it when I left my room at 8:45 AM, when I came back at 3 PM, no service. Is it better than a 2 or 3 star resort, im sure it is. Is it close to any other 5 star resort that I've stayed at in the past 5 years, no. It does not live up to the advertising.

The hotel was ok, beds were a little hard and bathroom needed a bit more maintenance, like the door was missing the handle and the shower did not look clean. Its a good resort, but all inclusive is not all inclusive, we stayed there for a week and I could only book 3 restaurant visits during my stay, and when you travel with kids that is a non negotiable, you need to have options, so that is one of the parts that I did not like. Also when I went to their all you can eat buffet, twice the meat was cold, and I got sick with a very bad rash, something I ate there made my stomach upset for like 3 days. So overall I can say its ok, I am not sure if I would come back, also they treat their members so distinctively than the rest of the guest, they forget that the guess are also spending money and consuming!

Hands down the best place to stay while in Cancun, beautiful resort, friendly staff, good food and a great time !!
