Vacations Close To Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre

The Grassmarket Hotel was ideally located to explore the sights of Edinburgh and walking distance to Waverley Station. All the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and I was very impressed to get a free upgrade from a single to double room. The room was as described, cozy and all the amenities were excellent. Also, having direct access to Biddy Milligans next door was excellent. The hotel staff also offered to include breakfast. Which I thought was great. I’m from Glasgow, but I feel so grateful that I have two such excellent cities near to me.

The location was great. Though in a very busy area with a bar next door, it was very quiet. Room small, but clean and adequate with a large bathroom large.

On our trip through London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Paris, Brew House Dog House was the stand out stay. Putting my love of Edinburgh aside, the hotel itself feel exclusive, the private guest lounge was neat, even though we didn't use it, and the restaurant makes a great breakfast, a mean cappuccino, and great dinner, which we ordered to our room a couple times because we didn't feel we were missing out by eating in. The loft apartment is unique, roomy, and highly functional for what will be a longer stay next time. The staff were all courteous and the one beer I did have was a delight

Fabulous stay. Very comfortable room. Helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Ideal for Leith and easy access to Edinburgh and airport via tram.

Beautiful hotel, but the facilities need upgrading. The showers were slippery and dangerous. The room was so hot at night despite temperatures being cold for the season of travel. But the hotel was located in a great spot so I can't complain too much since I only needed it for a place to lay my head. If I was there for the hotel specifically, I might look elsewhere. Would stay again for location alone.
