The only thing that was kind of a pain was the key to unlock the outside and inside doors that is your email so you had to pull it up each time. "The unusual decor is what first attracted me to the Cocoon. The Alps adventure theme was compelling. The elevator simulated a gondola ride up the mountains! The location was ideal - convenient to Munich's main train station. The 'green' features, such as the need to use your room card to have lighting, were not explained at check-in. I suspect that this was partly due to a language issue. Overall, Cocoon was a good choice for a visit to Munich."

The train station is only a short walk away, which is incredibly helpful if you want to take the train from the airport, day trip from Munich, or need quick food or anything that you can’t get on a Sunday when everything’s closed. Marienplatz and most touristy spots are walkable from this hotel, but if you want there’s a metro spot or tram right outside the hotel that will help get you there. Hotel is clean, staff are super friendly and helpful, and it’s just an all around...
