Nice hotel at a good price

Small.but nice rooms. Location not bad. A bit of a walk to old town. Minimal amenities but plenty for your needs. The only complaint is the temperature in the room can be quite warm when the outside temps get above 75

Sufficient hotel at good location

Stayed 1 night, for business trip, in a room at the ground floor. The hotel location is great, in a smaller street, next to the main train station. The room is ok, but not really clean as I expected (I found unused water left in the boiler and crushed candies (?) under the table). The breakfast is nice, the staff are friendly.

Enjoyed a four night stay here. Check in was quick and easy. My room was very clean and beyond sufficient. Size was a bit on the small side but was spacious enough for one. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, plenty of outlets both at the desk and by the bed. The breakfast was good with a variety of options every morning. The staff was incredible and could not have been friendlier or more helpful. All and all, a great hotel with an excellent staff. I will definitely stay here again.

The property is small but has basic amenities. It was clean and had very nice staff at the front desk. We arrived on an extremely hot day and at check-in the gentleman at the front desk clarified that they did not have AC. I was sure the listing had said AC when we booked, but I checked and sure enough, it did not. Despite this, given the extreme heat, he offered that we could cancel our reservation if we were not okay without AC. Initially, I did look online for options near by but ended up staying. They had a circulating fan in the room and gave us additional fans when we asked. I really appreciated that he was up front and offered us the option to cancel without any fees if we had wanted to. The location was very convenient because we had an early train to catch, but it’s definitely not one of the nicer streets in that area. A lot of people lingering around the front late at night and watched a woman have her daughter literally take her pants off and pee right in the middle of the sidewalk 10 feet from the entrance.

This was the tiniest room. There was maybe a foot to get past the end of the bed, which was hard as a rock. Nowhere to put luggage, so it went on the floor. The AC barely worked. I woke up every night, overheating. I had to crack the window to get fresh air, but then ran the risk of hearing random people’s conversations at 2:30am on the patio below. The bathroom is right next to the bed, so you’re partner will hear everything you do in there due to the sliding glass door that separates it. It is painfully small and the shower and tile grout seemed to be unclean-maybe mildew. They charge 1600 euro for 4 nights for this nonsense because it’s Oktoberfest time and then charge extra for breakfast. The location is sketchy, but across the street from the HBF and 15 minutes from the Oktoberfest grounds, the Wiesen. You can opt to “help save water” by not getting your room cleaned for 3 days as the only option, not 2 which would have been better. I had to go ask for more toilet paper and towels. The guys at the front desk: not the friendliest. The tiny elevator (barely room for 2 people and luggage) was broken at least one day. The whole experience put me off to Munich. It’s sad because I used to absolutely love Germany and wanted my boyfriend to love it, too. This hotel ruined the evening portion of our trip. Also, don’t buy the optional hotel insurance on Orbitz. Get separate ins. The insurance company is non responsive & once you’ve paid, that money is gone.

The location was excellent! Really easy to get to and from Oktoberfest. For the price we paid I wish it would’ve been nicer. The hallway smelled like B.O. and the room smelled like wet dog. The staff was friendly. Parking was 25 euros.

The room was clean, but the bathroom door was a sliding door and didn’t fully close. The TV wouldn’t work at first finally came on. Then it would randomly turn off. It wasn’t on a timer or anything like that. It might turn off after 5 minutes or after 70 minutes or any other time.

I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Munich’s city center and while the staff were truly wonderful—friendly, attentive, and eager to help—the accommodations left much to be desired. The rooms felt outdated and lacked the comfort I expected at this price point. The shower doors didn’t close properly, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor, and the towels provided were quite small. Amenities were minimal—just shampoo and soap, with no body lotion or other thoughtful touches. For $1500 over four nights, I expected a far more polished and comfortable experience. Sadly, the value just wasn’t there. Despite the excellent staff, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.
