Vacations Close To Crumpin-Fox Golf Club

Bed was comfortable and room was new. That part was nice. The towels they gave you would not fit around your body. It was almost like using a face cloth to dry your body. And the room behind the front desk looked like a bomb had gone off.

Shared bathrooms worried me but not a problem. Lots of available cubicles, spotlessly clean. Room was adequate.

I thought that the breakfast could have been better .

Checkin was more complicated than necessary. 2 people were working and neither seemed to know what they were doing. Our room was in the south tower. The gentleman working asked if we needed help with our bags. We declined. Then we figured out why he asked. Needed to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, down a hallway, down steps (which wasn't mentioned), a second elevator up to the 3rd floor. Going down the steps was better than trying to haul our luggage back up them. The restaurant was chaotic and food was so so. Two of us ordered wings. They never came out and we were told both had been given to other patrons. They were being remade, one came out in 10 minutes, the other took 30 minutes. The included breakfast had standard options and was nice.

The building is in a perfect location - an easy walk to the subway and Fenway Park (we had tickets to see a game). Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was a large window in the room that looks onto a very busy street. The window is not sound proof at all, and I checked several times to make sure it wasn’t open. They do provide earplugs, which is helpful if you are used to sleeping with them in (am not).
