Staff/Owners were very nice. Cons: Room had a strong musty smell. A/C was noisy. Hair in shower. Pros: Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Didn’t check out the morning coffee or breakfast options. We chose to go to the Co-op right up the road which was delicious.

Room had a strong moldy odor, even after we opened both doors for hours for cross ventilation. Sticky surface of bedside lamp (brown spattered substance). Heater surface in bathroom was dirty. Bugs in bathtub. Breakfast was ok. Very limited eating area. Parking great. Daily maid service was nice. Location excellent for Landmark College.

Well-maintained facility by the hard-working family that runs the Putney Inn. Rooms were clean and quiet. They accommodated a very late check-in without complaint. Great value for money. Only reason it's not a 4 star is that there is some normal wear and tear on the property. But overall I highly recommend it.

The room was very clean, and the bathroom looked recently remodeled. There was a strange smell from probably a cleaning solution, and the carpet looked old, but other than that, the room was very clean. The only thing I would want changed is the window in the bathroom needs a curtain. It's about 6 feet off the ground and small, but it feels like someone could peep in. Very convenient location, right off the I-91.

Parking was available and easy, and it felt safe. Breakfast was slightly limited (boiled eggs, for example, would be a welcome breakfast item to enjoy with toast and the good coffee), but the fresh waffle was delicious, as well as the fruit and yogurt. It's clear the owners are refurbishing this motel right off I-91 in Putney, VT. The bathrooms are freshly tiles, wooden floors replace wall to wall carpet, new lighting and thermo pane sliding doors. If you need a bed on a long drive, support these folks. Putney Food Coop is just up the road for great coffee and a wide choice of food.

We were doing a ski trip to Mount Snow and this was an excellent low-cost room for a single night. No frills and a good price. Coffee and simple breakfast (yogurt, cereal) was available the next morning on our way out the door.
