“Very handy location close to where we needed to be in Chelmsford. Certainly more room that a budget hotel wih everything you need, including safe parking.”

“Upon arriving at the property, I called the host asking for details on how to access the property. He claimed to have not been able to contact me as Expedia/Hotels.com didn't provide contact details - odd how every other hotel sends me multiple messages. He then asked for ID,something I've never been asked for in any previous check-in. I'd already paid to stay and wasn't hugely impressed by the host's attitude. I did say this was a bit of a shambles which seriously triggered him into shouting...

“We stayed here last weekend to celebrate my mum’s 65th birthday and had such a lovely time. The hotel was beautiful, very clean and comfortable, and all the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. I had emailed beforehand to mention that we were visiting for my mum’s special birthday, so I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a card or small acknowledgement in the room. We’d also booked a table in the restaurant for her birthday dinner, but unfortunately the booking hadn’t made it onto...

“The bar maid was very argumentative. We told her we had a reservation to which she informed us that they do not take reservation for less than 6 people. When the professional gentleman returned he took us to our table which had our room number on it. Furthermore, she proceeded to serve a tall, good looking man who approached the bar way after we had been standing a waiting.”

“Everything was lovely and the front staff so very helpful. The only thing I would say about was the sound on the TV it was very muffled all the time no matter what we put it up to. “Nice stay. Clean. Helpful staff. Nice but not great breakfast. Plus having a traditional pub across the car park. Otherwise nothing else close. Would stay here again if in area.”
