“Comfortable room, friendly staff. Had pleasant meal one night, and enjoyed cooked breakfast. Spent few hours in pub lounge, great atmosphere. Small point, we were in room 9 which was noisy at night due to extractor fan out side. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.”

“Lovely stay at Kingscroft hotel, very peaceful location, check in was quick greeted by Wol on arrival ( such a lovely host) & taken to our room which was clean, big & exceptionally clean. Lots of extras including plenty of towels, toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee & biscuits. Bed was very comfy & bathroom was modern with great shower. 10 minutes to walk to centre of Buxton Breakfast , we aren’t vegetarian but my goodness we didn’t miss the usual bacon/ sausages! It was large excellently...

“Beautiful classic Georgian country Pub. Big comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The bed was also big and comfortable. We didn’t eat at the pub so cannot comment on that, but the village has several nice places to eat.”

“Best location to experience the Lake District and very close to both Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. Idyllic town, beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable and clean. The food was also tasty and worth the visit!”

“Loud. Incredibly loud. First, they gave no indication that the room I was staying in opened directly onto the street. The door lock was strange, perhaps just something I'm not used to, but I struggled with ensuring that it was locked during the night. (I work in a technical field, I'm not dim, but jeez, I felt stupid) Considering people milling around outside the pub at night were quite drunk, shouty, and possessed of questionable decision making, I ended up putting a chair in front of the door...
