We saw lots of great places to check out but unfortunately we were there on a Sunday...nothing much is open. We ate at pig &grits the first day..super good then Lil Smokey's Sunday..it's all we could find open..was good too.

The town square is within walking distance and has the cutest shops and some very good eateries. Mountains are the awesome backdrop for this town so I suggest the 3rd or 4th week in October to visit.

We were traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and this was a little further away than I thought it would be. Still a wonderful place to stay.
