“Just a quick stopover stay. It's nothing fancy but it served It's purpose. The room was ok, beds (twin bedded room) were comfortable. The only 2 complaints I have are. There was only a socket at the side of one bed and there was no chair. The breakfast was very nice, all the usual food you would expect. I'd stay again.”

“When I arrived at the hotel there was NO PARKING available. Twenty spaces but none available! Also, hotel couldnt help with suggestions where to park. When I did check in, hotel staff were not presentable, looked tired and messy. Gave room key and quick instructions. Not shown to room. Carpet in the hallway disgustingly bad, very dirty, worn down and in need of repair. Was asked what time I wanted breakfast. Breakfast severed between 7 - 9am when suggested 8am hotelier pulled face and sighed....

“The room at the hotel was lovely very clean and the staff were amazing but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. We were advised to book for what was described as a carvery type meal which we did but could only get one slot at 6.30 so booed that. We decided as there was such a long wait to go to the Knights tavern for a drink first and we saw the food being served and it looked really good so we asked if we could cancel the buffet and order there which we did and paid for the meal....

“Hotel overall feels very tired and run and down. Nobody at reception when we arrived and no button or bell to call. Room decor was ok but there were stains on wall and we had a view of a wall and it was very dark. Breakfast was very good but zero atmosphere. All the fire doors are very annoying and they wake you when you are sleeping.”

“Nice Inn, decent rooms, friendly staff, good food, good location, quiet but only 15 mins walk to town centre or castle.”
