“Quirky place to stay! Lovely big room for our family of four, in peaceful surroundings next to a ruined castle and 10 minutes from Hadrians Wall! Friendly staff and nice home cooked food for dinner and breakfast!”

“Adele was friendly on arrival and sorted check in and parking permit promptly.
Room itself was large and clean, reasonably quiet (room 3) in spite of having window open and being near moderately busy road. Bed fairly comfortable. In a good state of repair though decorated and furnished in a very dated style.
Bathroom was very small. Shower needs a new hose, spraying most of the water at the wall. The sealant was black, unsightly and needing replaced. The toilet roll holder is not attached to...

“What an amazing guest house. Fantastic location, fantastic hosts and a beautiful welcoming place. The breakfast was amazing all cooked to order. Maurice and Laureen are great people who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. This is a must place to stay if you're in the area.”
