“great location. bright and cheery interior with games/activities which were handy to pass some time with and have a laugh with friends and family. welcoming and friendly staff. Rooms nice with view of other buildings which was fine. Only negatives is view out can see bit of rubbish on floor however shared access? weather was wind and rain which may have contributed to the untidy appearance. Breakfast good choice but at 09:30 attendance hot cooked breakfast had minimal left and hot plates not hot...

“Booked a basic room over the weekend. Everything, including bathroom, was very clean. The bathroom door is just a sliding door (in case this is important to anyone). There was some muted noise from other guests but not too noisy even on the first floor. Staff was watchful and helpful. The hotel is also about a mile from a very big train station. “I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is.”
