“The Buck Inn is in a prime central location on a picturesque street. I think some of the recent reviews are unfair. Richmond is an expensive town and most places charge £160 to £180 per night. The Buck Inn charges £85 a night for a double and that includes a very good breakfast. The room is a large en-suite with tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and a fair sized tv. “We were shown to our room which was a good size with a large bathroom. Fresh milk available from the fridge on the landing for a cuppa. We had dinner here,very tasty chicken and salad on flatbread. Our breakfast was also lovely,freshly prepared and good quality. Cereals,juices and toast available along with a full English or other options. “As the name states this is an old inn. Room was decorated accordingly. Comfy beds with a reasonable sized ensuite. Evening meal was lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. All staff that we met were friendly.”

“This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.”
