The room was absolutely gorgeous, very clean and had the amenities needed. The shower was absolutely amazing oh my days. Lovely staff, all pleasant. Spa was absolutely spot on, so relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Evening meal was delicious too.

The hall is beautiful with nice gardens and lots of character. Unfortunately the spa was very full and therefore not enjoyable and we had a terrible nights sleep because there is zero soundproofing, we could hear everything from the room above us and any movement in the corridor. I particularly loved our characterful room and view and the surprise jetted bathtub, but even though we turned the radiators off the large pipes throughout the room were still providing too much heat so we had to leave the windows open. It is a shame as the staff were wonderful, breakfast was good with lots of choice and the building really is stunning.

Staff excellent. Setting beautiful. We stayed in the old house which had real charm, but was a little tired. Beyond the historic house is a conference centre, with spa. We ate an evening meal in the 1744 restaurant which was well priced and very tasty.

The room was a bit out of the way on level -2 with a view of the wall out of the window and there was a couple things that could have done with being fixed hole in wall, mirror in bathroom etc but overall was a really good stay. The spa was nice but quite busy so hard to get good use of pool and hot tub. The restaurant was a good experience really nice food and the staff were nice and helpful.

We stayed one night and we enjoyed the use of the leisure facilities. The gym was very well equipped and opening times were good. We stayed in a family room and although a little dated - stains on the floor and bed linen, musty type of smell and shower that was more of a trickle and either ran very cold or very hot - we did have a lovely stay. 4 star hotel with Premier Inn vibes. The pool is nice and even though it has its grand, stately home exterior, most of this hotel looks like it was built in the 80s and not updated since. Food is bang average and the whole thing has the vibe of a premier inn with a Beefeater attached to it. Staff were all lovely!
