I have stayed here a number of times and have loved it every time. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the inn's location is perfect and breakfast is delicious. A perfect place for a little getaway.

Good value hotel in the heart of Richmond. Friendly staff, spacious bedrooms, nice breakfasts and plenty of different rooms to enjoy a drink and meal.

Great value Inn style accommodation

Friendly helpful and welcoming. Room a decent size and clean. Nice views over Castle. Nice cooked breakfast and was overall good value for money accommodation close to Richmond centre

Good stay at the Buck

A good stay , room was clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast. Service was excellent with very friendly staff. Unfortunately didn’t do evening meals but sister hotel nearby was very good for an evening meal

A lovely stay, we were made very welcome. Our breakfast was cooked well and the staff seemed very nice. Sadly our bedroom floor hadn't been hoovered and the bathrooms were nosey when we switched the lights on.

We didn't stay at this hotel because we were lead to believe that parking was included but it was only for two hours then car had to be moved to paying car park then moved again at 6pm till 8am. Husband has difficulty walking so it wasn't convenient.

Room was dated, but clean. Light above sink didn’t work and wasn’t repaired when asked. Staff were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of cereals too. Would stay again. Dog friendly.

Basic but comfortable

Basic but comfortable and clean. I am not a fan of a double bed against a wall, so you can only get in one side. Awkward for a couple who both need to get in and out during the night. But i understand why they do it, so they can fit another bed in

The room although ok could really do with some improvements. We suggested most of them to the B&B when we last stayed in the same room 2 years ago and there has been a decline in standards since then rather than the other way around. The pub has also stopped serving food after breakfast which was a massive disappointment. Despite great location, I cannot see us booking here again. If the owners would like some specific pointers we would be happy to help. We didn't discuss with them as they had a very busy weekend planning and running some lovely functions.

Central B&B

We required an overnight stop to break up our journey. We chose the Buck due to the information, photos and feedback given on Hotels.com app. Unfortunately the kitchen wasn't open the night we stayed and the road was being dug up right outside with work commencing at 7.30am. The rooms are a little tired with the curtains requiring attention to cover the window. That's all the negative bits out of the way. The best bits were the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was fabulous and the shower was good. The Buck is within walking distance of other eating establishments so we were able to find somewhere else to have our evening meal. Parking permit supplied so we could park on the street. Staff were all friendly.
