“First the positives. Helpful cheerful staff and good facilities: dining room and bar were nicely decorated and set out. The food served at breakfast was very good. Location of hotel is perfect for exploring Bakewell town centre, which is beautiful. Negatives. We had a room in the annexe across the road. “Lovely hotel in good location. Room spacious and very clean with nice view. Staff pleasant and helpful. Booked in for dinner at 7:30. Didn’t order a starter, main courses took 1 hr to come and then 2 out of 3 sent back as they were lukewarm. No hot water for a shower in the evening or in the morning as we were told the boiler can’t cope with everyone wanting a shower at the same time.”
