Absolutely beautiful building, set in its own grounds. The building was stunning. The staff were lovely friendly and professional. I left my handbag in the restaurant - didn’t discover I’d forgotten it until after we left the following morning. Returned safe and sound and fully intact! Evening meal at the restaurant was great, Excellent food. Brilliant service. The only things which let it down were the massive whole in the restaurant ceiling which had been temporarily sealed with plastic and wood. Our bin hadn’t been emptied in our hotel room. A few loose tiles in the bathroom. It just felt a little tired and unloved.

Staff were very helpful but team weee over run when golfing group arrived and dinner service was slow and confused. It was not clear about the additional charges for the spa, or the large range of prices offered depending on time of day. Again the staff were helpful but I was surprised at the choice of a male cleaner in the female changing rooms at the start of the session …. Again not a reflection of the staff. The spa had seen better days, hot tub was ice cold and sauna wasn’t working. The outdoor pool was great and what a view - however watch out for the sharp edges getting out of the pool, left with a scratch or two!

The spa and pool was love, we realkt enjoyed it, but we had no kettle in our room we walked to reception and asked for one, I offered to collect it and take it back but they saud no a member of staff will bring it , we never received it, so couldn't have any drinks in our room, room was clean but dated , but on the whole we enjoyed it, breakfast was great

We stayed at Shrigley Hall and had a mixed but generally enjoyable experience. The infinity pool, evening (dusk) setting, and massage were all excellent highlights of the stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location and the bathroom in our room was very nice. However, the room itself felt quite basic and lacked comfortable seating, and it was quite a long walk from the main hotel. There was also no phone in the room, which was an issue as we couldn’t contact reception about a missing door lock. Overall, some great facilities and experiences, but a few areas that could be improved.

I stayed at the Hotel, it was clean and tidy, comfortable, good sized bedroom. Staff very friendly. The evening meal was very nice and the waitress was great. On some lovely grounds and stunning looking hotel. The car park is round the back of the Hotel and a bit of a walk to reception, the rear entrance could be signed better to save walking round the whole outside of the property. Overall a really nice Hotel and a lovely stay.
