“Absolutely loved this location. I have never stayed here before and took a chance and it was so nice. Beautiful grounds and nice quiet atmosphere. The breakfast pass at the Dunes was amazing. The only downfall is there are no elevators so if you are on the 3rd floor (like we were) you have to climb the stairs, which wasn't a problem for us but may be for some people. Definitely would stay there again.”

They had some activities going on to win a free week for next year but you can't bring the ducks in after the office closes at 5 and there's no way to let them know you found more ducks. The office doesn't open till 10 which makes harder for people leaving first thing in the mornings. The place could use a good cleaning too. Cobwebs all over, trash on the bedroom floor, dead bug in one of the beds, the mattress covers really need replaced they are gross and covered with...

“It was such a pleasure meeting Bill and Veda during our stay! They were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us a delicious breakfast each morning and even packing up extra fruit for us to take to the beach, which was such a thoughtful touch. The place itself is beautiful, cozy, and made us feel right at home. For our first visit to the Outer Banks, we truly couldn't have picked a better place to stay. “When we checked in the elevator was out of service and the desk clerk was very helpful in moving us to a first floor room. The breakfast offering was good and as stated on the website; bagels and other easy breakfast items. It appears that the facility is still undergoing renovations, our shower had unfinished edges but it was clean and great water pressure and hot water.”
