“I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant. “What Expedia shows as the room you are booking and what you actually get is an absolute disgrace. The hotel reception told us Expedia use pictures that are not what you get. Our room was dire, the floor dipped so badly in spots we thought we were going to go right through to the floor below. The bed was missing a castor and was lower at the bottom than the top of the bed, the bathroom ceiling tile was not fitted. The room we booked should have had a shower as I have a disability but we ended up...

“Lovely hotel. Car park was full so had to wait for a space. Breakfast was lovely. Good selection of Hot & cold foods to choose from. Had Sunday roast beef dinner. Partner had sea bass. Plus a cheeky dessert. Good menu for food & drinks Really fab food. Staff where very smiley and friendly. The Grand stair case was amazing. Room was very clean Great views over the mountains and water. Bed was very comfortable. Over all great place to stay. Fab location. Definitely go back.”

El desayuno estaba incluido pero todo era frito y el hotel en general luego del desayuno olía mucho a frito. Creo que es mi única observación! Sería bueno tener una oferta un poco mas amplia para los que no consumen tanto frito. En general estuvo bien”

“Room was clean but stuffy due to heat, even with window open. A fan would have helped, and enabled closing the window to cut late night noise from outside. Staff were good and food was good. They were happy to allow me to leave my car on the hotel car park after checkout so we could go out for te mornimg”
