“Don’t come here expecting the Ritz - but we were very grateful to find a room that could accommodate 4 during Brighton Pride at the last minute. Yes carpets are threadbare, yes the furniture is missing handles. But (except during pride weekend) this would be a cost effective and well located spot to sleep in. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was run down but clean. It entirely suited our purposes - imagine a much friendlier and slightly shabbier Fawlty Towers.”

“Helpful staff and nice pub with decent food. Exterior room not anticipated - at back of car park and noisy with arrivals/deliveries etc. from 5am so sleep impossible. Room itself ok, basic but clean, but tiny shower room needed some tlc. Airport taxi from Gatwick a rip-off at £27: local one back £17! ”

“The pub area is great with a very large garden and FREE car park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good but if you fancy something else, there is an Italian next door or a couple of other restaurants a 2 minute walk. Room 2 was dated but very clean and large. The double bed was incredibly comfortable and my personal opinion more comfortable than the chain PI beds. The lining was spotless, soft, and very fresh smelling. The pillows were also perfect.
