“We stayed at the Pilsley Inn for one night to see Chatsworth on our way to Manchester. The pub food and service were great. We had 2 meals (dinner and breakfast) and both service and food were really very good. Servers and staff were attentive and hospitable. The location is also excellent. We stayed in Dunsa in the main building and unfortunately felt a bit catfished by the room considering the price (~$280 USD.) Online their website indicates a cosy double room would either be in the Inn or...

“When I booked for myself and grandson six ,I wasn't made aware that our "hotel room" was just a block of rooms at the bottom of a road near the entrance. These were unmanned and the key had to be collected from the main reception. This is no easy fete when there's a very steep long hill to walk up to reception. I was told our room was ready,we went down to it,expecting staff to meet us. None were there. So I and my little grandson had to walk back up to reception with a suitcase and rucksacks...

“Our room was excellent. Spacious, large ensuite. Breakfast was great, really nice. The car parking can't be reserved, it's a working pub. We did okay though on an August weekend. We really liked the whole village, explore it.”

“What beautiful property this is the grounds are very lovely and peaceful with gardens that are very well maintained, the rooms are just perfect, comfortable, clean cozy, the staff are brilliant helpful warm and nothing is too much for them. Would highly recommend staying and the restaurant is just brilliant great menu without the massive price tag food and choices are great. The breakfast is also fantastic and included in the room price.”

“Beautiful classic Georgian country Pub. Big comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The bed was also big and comfortable. We didn’t eat at the pub so cannot comment on that, but the village has several nice places to eat.”

“One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks.”
